10 Warning Signs You Own a Haunted Doll
Dolls are supposed to be harmless, right? Not so much for Debbie Merrick.
The English native purchased a gorgeous china doll only for £5. She didn’t think much of it until it attacked her husband. Mr. Merrick would wake up with tiny scratch marks on his leg.
To avoid further harm, Debbie kept the doll locked in a shed until she sold it to a new owner.
How do you know if you or a loved one has a haunted doll? Here are ten warning signs you own one:
1. It Must Be Permanently Locked in a Display Case
Nursing student Donna received a Raggedy Ann doll named Annabelle for her 28th birthday. All was well until Donna and her roommate Angie discovered Annabelle had moved around in their apartment. Things got worse when the doll attacked Lou, Angie’s fiancé.
One medium claims a little girl’s spirit inhabits the doll. On the other hand, prolific paranormal investigators Ed and Lorrain Warren concluded something more sinister resides in the toy. They took Annabelle to their Occult Museum (now closed), where its kept in a locked display case. A tarot card of the devil is placed beside it.
2. Your Kids Won’t Go Near It
A couple in upstate New York finds an old doll named Charley stuffed in a trunk in the attic with the Lord’s Prayer. Unaware of its dark intentions, they add it to their doll collection downstairs.
One day, their four-year-old daughter claims Charley has spoken to her. Eventually, the rest of the couple’s five kids won’t go near the doll. They don’t even dare to go to the bathroom at night because of it.
