I fell into a rabbit hole at Goodwill.
Everything happens for a reason, right? I’ve decided to finally sit down with the book and received some profound insight.
Seth is not a spirit, per se. According to Roberts, the term is a somewhat limiting label to Seth’s identity. He is beyond a spirt. Whenever you look him up, he’s either called a personality, an entity, or a non-physical intelligence.
Jane Roberts and her husband Robert Butts first contacted Seth through an Ouija board. Eventually, they no longer needed it. Roberts used herself as a channeler to deliver Seth’s messages. Butts transcribed hundreds of pages of notes, leading to a good number of published books.
Of course, Roberts received criticism from both the scientific and religious communities. Some believed she was either possessed or simply made up a new personality. No matter, she was well-received during her lifetime, and readers all over praised her (and Seth’s) words.
Here are a few interesting messages I’ve learned from the non-physical intelligence named Seth:
1. Examine Your Thoughts
“If you examine your thoughts for five minutes at various times during the day for several times a month, you will indeed receive a correct impression of the kind of life you have so arranged for yourself in the next existence. If you are not pleased with what you discover, then you had better begin changing the nature of your thoughts and feelings.”
You can change your life if it displeases you.
Live in a sucky neighborhood? Move out.
Trash-talking partner? Break up with them, you deserve better.
Boring-tail job? Find a job so awesome it makes you cry when you clock out.
Years ago, I didn’t like my weight. All the clothes I wanted were too small for me. Instead of weeping in the changing room forever, I decided to change my eating habits and increase my exercise routines. I had a new vision of myself, and I manifested it. Over the years, I went from an extra-large to a small (some cases extra small).
I changed my previous reality for a new one.
2. Thought Intensity
“The intensity of a feeling or thought or mental image is, therefore, the important element in determining its subsequent physical materialization.”
The more you concentrate on a thought (mixed with emotion) you want to manifest, the faster it will come to reality.
Concentration is like using a magnifying glass to direct a sunbeam. The light won’t have much effect if its energy is scattered all over the place. With focus, it will be enough to burn on one central spot.
Danielle Steel, for example, puts so much thought into her writing productivity, making her one of the wealthiest bestselling authors in the world. While her working habits are not the most favorable, it shows how powerful thoughts can be used efficiently.
3. Your Most Awesome Gift
“I am primarily a teacher, but I have not been a man of letters per se. I am primarily a personality with a message: You create the world that you know. You have been given perhaps the most awesome gift of all: the ability to project your thoughts outward into physical form.”
Do you know how awesome you are? You can bring incredible sh*t into existence. We have teenagers nowadays making millions on Youtube because they are already aware of their creative powers.
Want to build the digital nomad lifestyle of your dreams? Done.
Want to build a floating home? Somebody has already done it. You can do the same.
Remember, we are creators. Seth must remind us because we easily indulge ourselves in endless distractions: mindless gossip, excessive TV, the internet (used in the wrong way), naysayers, and even our own minds.
It’s time to comb through your thoughts. Discard the ones you don’t need and nurture the ideas that’ll take you into a greater future.
